Doctoral studies represent the third cycle of university studies, corresponding to the Bologna system, and are organized within universities accredited as Organizing Institutions for Doctoral University Studies (IOSUD).
The University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest is an IOSUD, and doctoral studies have been reorganized within the Doctoral School of Engineering and Management of Plant and Animal Resources and the Doctoral School of Veterinary Medicine.
The doctoral schools operate on the basis of the Code of Doctoral University Studies, approved by Government Decision (GD) No. 681/2011, and on the basis of the Regulation on the Organization and Operation of Doctoral University Studies, approved by the Senate of USAMV Bucharest at its meeting on 03.08.2011.
At USAMV Bucharest, doctoral studies are organized in the following fields: Agronomy, Biotechnology, Horticulture, Food Product Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, and Animal Science.
